2015 Maverick 1000R X ds Turbo First Look

The 2015 Can-Am Maverick X ds side-by-side vehicle boasts industry-leading power with the new 121-hp Rotax 1000R turbocharged option, providing 10% more horsepower and almost 40% more torque than the closest competitor1. It also features a completely new rear end providing a longer, 88-in (223.5-cm) wheelbase, a redesigned TTA rear suspension now featuring 16 in (40.6 cm) of travel and Can-Am exclusive high performance Fox shocks to provide capability, comfort and adjustability. This model soaks up terrain and remains nimble. It is tailored to fit riders and their riding style with its premium rider-focused cockpit and ergonomically positioned controls and adjustments. All of these great features will also be available on the 2015 Can-Am Maverick MAX 1000R X ds (four seat version).

The turbocharged Rotax 1000R is equipped with an all-new intake system featur- ing a high-flow Donaldson airbox, air-to-air intercooler and revised plenum, keeping the engine breathing cool and clean air for optimal performance. The engine itself features new forged pistons and high-capacity injectors. A revised CVT, which includes a Quick Response System (QRS) on new driven pulley, new impeller designs for both pulleys and increased airflow via a new inlet and enlarged outlets, provides efficient transfer of power to the ground and nearly instant throttle response.

Along with is exceptional performance output, the Maverick X ds platform features a completely new rear end that provides a longer, 88-in. wheelbase, redesigned TTA rear suspension now featuring 16-in. of travel, new front A-arms and Can-Am exclusive high- performance Fox 2.5 Podium RC2 rear shocks with bottom-out cup. This unique setup pro- vides the X ds with a capable, comfortable and adjustable handling package. And with its mid-engine layout, Tri-mode DPS, new quick-ratio steering, new 14-in. aluminum beadlock wheels and 28-in. Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires, it provides a precise and nimble ride.

The Maverick X ds family of Can-Am side-by- sides offers their own unique bold and exclusive colorations to stand out in a crowd. A wide variety of Can-Am genuine accessories, designed for seamless integration with the new X ds models, allows for customization for the end user’s specific needs.
