Cub Cadet’s lineup of utility vehicles continues to expand with the launch of the 2018 Challenger 400 4x4. Demand for a compact four-wheel-drive utility vehicle led to the design and production of this capable new machine. Providing superior ability to navigate rugged terrain and power off-road adventures, the 2018 Cub Cadet Challenger 400 4x4 can tackle a variety of jobs at home, on the trail, or in the field.

In addition to four-wheel drive, its off-road capability includes enhanced ground clearance, heavy-duty shocks, off-road tires, rear selectable locking differential, and front automatic locking differential. Measuring just 50 inches wide, the Challenger 400 4x4 fits in the bed of standard pickup trucks and is narrow enough to traverse ATV trails—where other utility vehicles are too wide to go. The compact size is versatile enough for both work and recreational use.
It has a 400-pound capacity and dent-resistant rugged, durable bed that includes horizontal and vertical bed divider slots along with integrated D-ring tie-downs to help keep cargo organized. Standard comfort features include adjustable headrests and driver’s seat, a hard roof, LED headlights, and brake lights—everything needed to immediately hit the trails.
The new Challenger 400 4x4 joins the Challenger 550 and 750, Challenger 400, Challenger 500, Challenger 700, and the Challenger 750 Crew in Cub Cadet’s expanding utility vehicle lineup. Backed by the strength of the Cub Cadet dealer network, the Challenger series provides a valuable package of power, performance, versatility, and handy standard features.
