2019 Can-Am Defender Max X mr HD10

The Defender Max X mr HD10 has plenty of Rotax power for any mud bog

Over the years Can-Am has made the muddy bottoms of those deep bogs suffer great loss and this year’s Defender Max X mr HD10 will surely do the same.Can-Am

Taking the adventure to the Max seems to be the theme for Can-Am’s end-of-the-year model release. The latest multi-passenger vehicle added to the fold is the Defender Max X mr HD10, and this people mover looks like it’s ready for the deep stuff.

Coming straight out of the factory ready to defend its honor in any mudhole in the galaxy, this Defender Max X mr is equipped with 72 ponies from a 976cc Rotax twin. Reliable and extremely powerful, the Defender should have no trouble churning the 30-inch Cryptid ITP tires with its available 61 foot-pounds of torque. Incredibly this machine also comes with a lockable/unlockable rear differential. Most will say it should, but having the ability to unlock the axles on the rear of this machine means that crossing more delicately on sensitive terrain is an option.

As with many new Can-Am models the 2019 Defender Max X mr HD10 comes with a selection of power delivery options. This ECU mapping structure is easily controlled through a dash-mounted switch. Choose Work/Normal/Eco modes for your driving style or situation to send the power to the CVT transmission in varying amounts.

Whether it is a deep creek crossing, muddy duck hunting location, or just a romp through your local swamp the 30-inch Cryptid tires will move mountains of mud!Can-Am

Pulling the load up front is Can-Am’s Smart-Lok front differential. This unit’s automatic, terrain, or situational selection of modes allows the driver to focus on the job of driving while the Can-Am Defender delivers the power to the wheels that need it.

An amazing 15 inches of ground clearance gets you up and over most obstacles in the trail as well as down into the deep mire without compromising the crew in the seats around you. Speaking of seating, the Defender Max X mr HD10 provides dual Advanced Versa-Pro bench-style seating with the X-package trim. These seats are of the 40/20/40 style like a modern-day pickup truck. The storage options are also plentiful with removable dash storage box and spacious storage cubbies on the dash itself. Let’s not forget that big cargo bed as well; it can haul the gear for your crew’s next trip into the swamp.
