Can-Am Unveils All-New 2023.5 Outlander 500 and 700 ATVs

Plus new 2023 Outlander Pro HD5 and HD7 ATVs,

2023 Can-Am Outlander X MR.Can-Am

Can-Am has announced an all-new Outlander ATV lineup for 2023, complete with a fresh 650cc single-cylinder Rotax engine and revised integrated gearbox. Both 2023.5 Outlander 500 and 700 models share the same powerplant, though the 700 lineup benefits from a more aggressive camshaft and ECU that bumps power to 50 horsepower and 41 pound-feet of torque. That’s up from the 500 line’s 40 horsepower and 37 lb-ft. Can-Am says the Outlander 500 and 700′s new pDrive CVT is smoother and more durable than before, and offers buyers traditional low and high range. Meanwhile, the Outlander Pro HD5 and HD7 use modified gearing more suited to work detail. Both lines use selectable four-wheel drive with a Visco-Lok, Visco-Lok QE, or Visco-4Lok front differential depending on specification.

2023 Can-Am Outlander Pro HD7.Can-Am

Interestingly, engineers borrowed cues from the Can-Am Maverick X3 chassis for the new Outlander, complete with arched A-arms for better ground clearance and suspension travel. Both the Outlander and Outlander Pro lines boast 9.75 inches of travel up front and 10.25 inches in the rear. That’s impressive on a recreation machine, and even more so on a utility rig like the Outlander Pro, which uses stiffer springs made for hauling heavy loads. Can-Am says that the new lineup offers up to 13 inches of ground clearance. All models use twin-tube shocks.

2023 Can-Am Outlander XT 700.Can-Am

As before, expect three-mode power steering. Base Outlander DPS models get by with 12-inch steel wheels and 25-inch tires, while higher 500 and 700 trims like the XT and X MR use 14-inch aluminum wheels with 26- and 28-inch tires, respectively. The Pro HD line gets 12-inch aluminum wheels on Pro X U and Hunting Edition trims.

There’s no word on pricing or availability just yet, but we can’t wait to get our hands on these machines.
