When Appleton, Wisconsin’s Rodney VanEperen took the Pro Mod win at the opening round of the Torc Series we took notice. You see, the modified class is full of Turbo cars including Can-Am’s Maverick X3, a bunch of RZR Turbos and great drivers such as Tim Farr, Kyle Chaney and last years points champion Treavis Poynter.

Rodney started racing motocross at the age of 8 and raced the Loretta Lynn's amateur nationals several years and a couple of Pro races around the age of 16. From 1998 to 2002 Rodney had factory supported rides with Polaris and Arctic Cat in snow cross. His four wheel career began in the ProLite class in 2003 where he earned 1 win against the likes of Kyle Luduc, Rick Huseman, Jeff Kinkaid, and Chad Hoard.Powersports 1

In 2006 Rodney and his father started Powersports 1 a local Yamaha/Husqvarna dealership and after getting the business established they decided to get back into offroad racing in the Super Buggy class and won the championship in 2015.Torc Series

For 2017 Rodney had the opportunity to be on Johnny Greaves Motorsports team along side of Cj Greaves and Jake Lunderby. Since Crandon last Fall, the Yamaha YXZ and the UTV market in general has exploded for Powersports 1 and you can see that success carry over to the track.Powersports 1
