Polaris Factory Racing driver Brock Heger won the Pro UTV Open class and the UTV overall crown in his Polaris RZR Pro R Factory last weekend at the SCORE Baja 400. Heger’s margin of victory was nearly nine minutes, and the win extends his lead in the SCORE championship.
Branden Sims finished second and Justin Lambert placed third, both in modified RZR Pro Rs. The next RZR Pro R Factory behind Heger was Cayden MacCachren in sixth, followed by team principal Craig Scanlon in seventh. Austin Weiland rounded out the race for Polaris Factory Racing in 14th.
Polaris-supported racers Kristin Matlock and Kaden Wells finished fourth and fifth, to help Polaris lock out the top seven places in UTV Open. The Baja 400 was Heger’s second SCORE win in a row, following his Pro UTV Open class win at the Baja 500 in June. Polaris Factory Racing principal Scanlon took the Pro UTV Open win at the 2023 San Felipe 250, the team’s inaugural race.
Heger will look to round out his SCORE championship with the rest of the team at the Baja 1000 November 13–18.
