Californian desert racer Sara Price is in Morocco this week taking on the Rallye Du Maroc, the final round of the World Rally-Raid Championship. She’s piloting a Can-Am Maverick X3 in the T4 class, a stacked field of UTVs with stock drivetrains and suspension geometry. Price’s Can-Am will wear BFGoodrich tires for the five-day, 1,400-mile race.
The Rallye Du Maroc is Price’s first-ever Rally-Raid World Championship event, and a big step in her Road to Dakar campaign, which will see her compete at the Dakar Rally early next year. Price has been a stalwart of the American desert racing scene for more than a decade, but the two-week-long Dakar is another matter entirely.
Outside racing, Price owns SP Motorsports, and cut her teeth competing in the X Games, where she medaled in women’s Super X in 2010. That was followed by a slew of amateur and professional rallying wins. We’re stoked to see an American woman pursuing glory on the global rally raid stage.
