Modern UTVs roll out of the factory with the kind of sophisticated suspension components we could only dream of 10 years ago. But that hardware is useless if you don’t know how to properly tune it. Setting up your rig’s suspension for rider and cargo weight as well as your riding style can transform your machine’s performance, making it more comfortable, more confident, and by extension, faster. With that in mind, Can-Am has put together a quick video to give us all a better idea of how to set up our adjustable suspension.
On any vehicle, the suspension’s main purpose is to make certain the tires stay in contact with the ground at all times. That’s challenging enough on a road car, but side-by-sides often find themselves carrying speed over terrain best described as “impassible.” That’s where having your shocks and springs dialed can mean the difference between a rough, uncomfortable ride and one that seems to slink over whatever’s in front of you. Check out the video below, and make getting your suspension dialed part of your winter work.
