2022 Can-Am Maverick X3 Makes 200 HP

Can-Am has announced updates to the 2022 Maverick X3, and the biggest is that the machine now boasts 200 hp. That makes it the most powerful production sport side-by-side on the market, and the company threw a host of updates at the machine to help it handle the extra grunt. Those start with a beefier frame, though we’re told there’s also more ground clearance on hand to help the machine cruise over obstacles at speed. Can-Am says that with 200 hp, the Maverick X3 has the best power-to-weight ratio of any side-by-side.

We’ll learn more specific details later this week, but for now, it’s clear there’s an updated pDrive roller clutch system to help put all that power to the ground. The 2022 Maverick also now comes with 30- or 32-inch Maxxis Carnivore tires depending on trim, as well as Smart-Shox suspension.
