You’ve probably seen this wild build all over your social media feed. Can-Am teamed up with S3 Powersports to develop a one-off Defender Max 6x6 for UFC fighter Cowboy Cerrone. No small task.
The guys from S3 note they had to graft a stock Defender Max XT (MSRP: $17,899) to the rear end of a Defender 6x6 (MSRP: $18,699.) Past that, S3 installed the company’s 8-inch lift kit, had 22-inch BCR wheels developed to fit 37-inch mud tires, built a one-off aluminum dash panel for the stock gauges, and sprayed a fresh coat of paint across every panel.
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone was chosen to take ownership of this radical build. Cerrone is famous for his MMA and UFC background. He got his start in kickboxing, quickly climbing the ranks. The boys at S3 fancy themselves as fight fans and knew they wanted this build to be special.
Cerrone spends most of his down time on his personal 40-acre plot of land in New Mexico, delightfully named BMF Ranch. Cerrone immediately put the new Can-Am Defender 6x6 to work on the ranch where he raises cattle. Despite its large stature and tall bed height, we suspect this rig has sturdy Can-Am bones to get real work done.
Can-Am has no plans to produce a four-seater Defender Max 6x6 at this time. Click through to watch the video documenting its creation and dedication to one of the all-time great UFC fighters, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
