Forza Horizon 5, the latest installment in the sprawling open-world racing game, is launching in just a few short weeks. Set in one of the world’s greatest off-road playgrounds of Mexico, there’s going to be a huge pile of UTVs and off-road-focused rigs on the roster. Turn 10, the studio behind Forza, released an official list of cars for the game, and so far there are nearly 500 machines waiting to blast across the Mexican landscape.
Among the usual list of cars like Ferraris and Corvettes, Forza Horizon 5 features two factory UTVs, the 2018 Can-Am Maverick X RS Turbo R and the 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS. There is a pair of not-quite-UTV racers with the Sierra Cars RX3 and the Funco Motorsports F9. After that, we have a gaggle of rally raid machines and several specialty off-road rigs. There is the M12S Warthog from Halo, tube-frame machines like the Ariel Nomad and Exomotive Exocet, and even a Class 5/1600 Baja Bug from Volkswagen. Porsche has three off-road specialty machines in the game with the 959 Prodrive Rally Raid, Macan Rally Raid, and the 1989 #65 Rothsport Racing 911 “Desert Flyer.”
Of course if you want to create your own dune-destroying rig, you can take any number of traditional trucks and cars to modify. There is a pile of Jeeps from the CJ5 up to the 2020 Gladiator Rubicon, multiple Land Rovers, Ford Broncos new and old, and even a Mercedes-Benz Unimog. If you’ve always dreamed of turning your tow rig into a trail shredder, Forza Horizon 5 even includes a 2020 Ford Super Duty F-450 Platinum dually on the car list. So you know, go nuts.
If you want to give the game a try, it will be available on Tuesday, November 9. It is available for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
