LaRue Performance is a privately owned performance shop in Scottsdale, Arizona, that puts power first. Its latest social media tease takes that dedication to another level. It’s a short 2022 Polaris RZR Pro R startup video with a twist: The Pro R has got a fresh turbo kit bolted up.
LaRue Performance hasn’t returned our request for comment yet, so we’ve only seen this short teaser video. What little detail we’re able to glean, though, is promising. A healthy turbo, massive oil feed line, and a short, straight exhaust hang off the side of the inline four-cylinder engine; all confirm this performance kit should be a fun one. Better yet, it looks like a relative breeze to install.
LaRue hasn’t posted any official power numbers yet, but our guess is that the shop still needs to do some ECU tuning work before letting her off the leash. We’ve heard from various sources that this new engine platform is capable of some big power numbers under boost. LaRue was kind enough to post the factory 165 wheel horsepower figures though. Stay tuned for more info as LaRue inches closer to a production ready version of its 2022 Polaris RZR Pro R turbo kit.
