Niche manufacturer Vanderhall has announced its all-electric Brawley UTV will have a base price of $34,950 plus destination and preparation charges. The premium price tag comes attached to a machine unlike any other on sale today.
Vanderhall dropped the sporty “GTS” nomenclature from the Brawley’s official name, but it still boasts a fantastic résumé. On top of the futuristic, automotive-style looks, the Brawley’s electric drivetrain makes a claimed 404 hp and a massive 480 pound-feet of torque. Both a 40 kWh and 60 kWh battery are available, and Vanderhall states the Brawley can go 200-plus miles on a charge, which should be more than enough for all but the most demanding of users. The motors are individually controlled and allow for four different modes: eCrab, eSteer, eTank, and eCrawl.
With 35-inch tires and 22 inches of suspension travel, the Brawley should be a fantastic off-roader as well. Vanderhall has designed it to have carlike comfort too, with a fully enclosed cab featuring heat and air conditioning and an HVAC system that uses an automotive-style cabin filter. There’s Bluetooth connectivity, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, bucket seating for four, windshield wipers, heated seats, and an optional clear roof.
While you can’t yet buy a Brawley, you can reserve one for just $100.
