Can-Am driver and ambassador Kyle Chaney just won the Pro Turbo Side-by-Side World Championship at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway in Crandon, Wisconsin. Although it was not his first time winning at Crandon, it was his first time winning the Pro Turbo Side-by-Side class.
The Pro Turbo SxS class was decided just hours before the highlight of the event, the Red Bull Cup Race. Chaney was scheduled to compete in the cup race as well, but before the race began the team noticed a misfire in Chaney’s truck. After replacing the spark plugs, wires, coil packs, and fuel injectors, the truck still had issues and was lacking power. Chaney decided to race anyway, but did not finish in order to save his engine.
The Red Bull Cup Race was Chaney’s last championship race of the year, and as of now he will be preparing over the winter for King of the Hammers.
