Lite Brite has wasted no time in upgrading its new Polaris RZR Pro R. After taking delivery of the mean lime green machine very recently, the duo looked to the aftermarket to prepare the vehicle for this year’s King of the Hammers.

The upgrades to the RZR Pro R aren’t without purpose. Lite Brite is using its new mega-RZR as a chase and pre-runner vehicle, enabling the team to map the course before they compete in fully outfitted race rigs like their “Bomber” Ultra4 car. While we know the Pro R is massively capable out of the box, Lite Brite went to work to improve its machine’s durability, performance, and comfort.

Perhaps the biggest upgrade is a set of 35-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires that give the RZR menacing looks and extra ground clearance, which turned out to be crucial, because the Factory UTV UHMW skid plates Lite Brite had for the Pro R didn’t fit. If you can’t use armor to protect the vitals, keeping them out of harm’s way is the next best thing.

In addition to the sweet set of rubber, Lite Brite added red OEM Polaris rock sliders, a set of Rugged radios, and borrowed the Ultra4 car’s air pumper to keep the RZR’s occupants breathing dust-free when chasing the race rig. Lite Brite’s build came together quickly and quite well, and we look forward to hearing how it did in use out at King of the Hammers.
