The Rich Rebuilds YouTube channel is known for pulling out the stops to make insane transformations, but this year they are going HAM for the SEMA show in Las Vegas. The channel is absolutely no stranger to wild EV builds, starting with a real-life, adult-sized version of the Tesla Cyberquad, and then an off-road Tesla, and an EV Mini Cooper.
For this build, they snagged a trashed 2014 Polaris RZR off eBay Motors and went to town. Rich Rebuilds does their videos quickly, a bit more in the recap style rather than the agonizing build-series style, so this rig is already starting to take shape when the videos commence. Just three videos in, and the thing is about ready to accept its EV drivetrain, has a new interior, and a wild new external roll cage.
The coolest features of the cage by far are its assisted opening “flamingo” doors, which mimic the old Mercedes Gullwing doors. These are done in tube steel and are a functional part of the chassis though.
By the end of this video there’s still a good bit of work to do, but we cannot wait to see how this thing turns out in Vegas.
