Watch SXSBlog Shred Glamis in a Polaris RZR Pro R

The baddest RZR makes a great first impression.

The gang at SXSBlog.com was so excited to break in their 2022 Polaris RZR Pro R that they took it to Imperial Sand Dunes just weeks after purchasing it. They spent most of the day sending it off massive jumps accompanied by a 400 hp turbocharged Can-Am X3. The video shows just how capable these rigs are at one of America’s most iconic off-road destinations. But when you go hard, things can go wrong, and the rigs didn’t make it out without a few injuries. By the end of the ride one of the Polaris RZRs had a broken axle and the Can-Am was having issues with its turbo.

Brand new it may be, but the dudes at SXSBlog wasted exactly no time getting the big Polaris very airborne.SXSBlog.com

Thanks to Glamis’ massive dunes, the crew managed to get crazy airtime. The Pro R handled the jumps without flinching, and with a rig that capable, it’s hard to blame them for going back for a few more tries. SXSBlog’s Nick Sous, who was driving the Pro R, said that he “got lost” for an hour while the rest of the crew went back to base camp, which is especially hard to believe when the rig is equipped with Polaris Ride Command. It seems the real reason he got lost was to enjoy the Pro R a bit longer before the day is over. Again, can you really blame him?

Although one of the crew’s rigs caused some hiccups on the ride with a broken axle, the Pro R made it out completely unscathed. In fact, the SXSBlog crew had a few high remarks for how the Pro R handled and navigated the sand dunes. “The front end of this car is revolutionary,” Sous said.
