The UTV market is on fire right now! There are more manufacturers making these things than we ever before and it's not the sport side of things they are after. The utility/recreation and sportsman type buyer is number one on their list. All the top companies like Honda, Yamaha and Polaris are fighting to have the latest offering in this segment. We have put together a good size UTV Buyer's Guide of these recreational/utility models that all sell for under $10,000. So if you are interested, but thought a new UTV was out of reach, here are over 20 reasons a 2016 UTV is not out of reach.

Arctic Cat Prowler 500: $9499

2016 CF Moto Z Force 500: $8799

The 50-inch wide RZR, is what put Polaris on the map in the sport UTV world. This model follows that same philosophy of offing a simple machine that can get down the tightest of trails. Plus it’s $2500 less than the Polaris RZR570. Claimed power output is pegged at 38 horsepower and 32 ft lbs of torque. Over eleven inches of ground clearance and dual A-arms on all corners provide a smooth ride at the slow speeds 50-inch wide trails require. A winch is standard as well at fuel injection and hydraulic disc brakes.UTV Driver

2016 CF Moto Z Force 800: $9999

This is the narrow 50-inch version of the 800cc Z Force. It has the same power as the 59-inch wide, $10,799 800EX model. That power is provided by a V-twin engine with liquid cooling, four valves per cylinder and electronic fuel injection. The chassis features 26-inch tall tires and double A-arms on all four corners and disc brakes. At a total weight of 1,228 lbs, hauling this Z Force in the back of a pick up truck will be no problem.UTV Driver

2016 CF Moto U Force 500: $8999

According to CF Moto, the new 500HO engine offers better performance than the 600 engine it replaces and does so with greater reliability and of course even greater value. At that price, the U Force 500 even comes with, doors, electronic power steering and a 3500lb winch as standard equipment. At 57.6 inches wide and U Force model can be hauled in the back of a pick up.UTV Driver

2016 CF Moto U Force 800: $9999

Coming in at just under the 10K mark (EPS-$10,799), the standard U Force 800 can tow up to 1250 pounds using the standard 2-inch receiver hitch. Doors are standard as is the 3500 pound winch. CF Moto claims the 8-valve V-twin engine puts out an impressive 62 HP that should help get any job done. Plush A-arms on all four corners will smooth out the trail when you take it out for weekend fun.UTV Driver

2016 Hisun HS400: $6999

This might be a bit more utility than recreation. However, its $6999 price might be in reach for some customers that couldn't afford a UTV before. Just some of the standard features are; independent dual A-arm suspensions, On-Demand 4-wheel drive, dual bucket seats, automatic CVT drive system, and 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. A digital dash and folding split windshield are also available on this unit. The engine is fuel injected and liquid cooled. The HS model is under 60-inches wide so it should fit in the back of most pick ups. Blue, red, orange, white and black colors are available.UTV Driver

2016 Hisun HS700: $8449

The 500 and 700’s have a distinct Rhino look to them right down to the doors. They are both powered by an OHV, single cylinder four stroke engine with electronic fuel injection. Furthermore, the HS uses 26-inch tall radial tires and dual A-arm suspension on all four corners. The CVT transmission is smooth an a 7.6 gallon tank should give you all day fun. As an option, you can get turn signals and aluminum rims on these HS models as well as camo and a bunch of other colors. A one year warranty is standard.UTV Driver

2016 Hisun Sector 450: $7499

This could be the least expensive UTV you can find. Incredibly, standard features found on the Sector line are aluminum rims, a roof, windshields, LED lighting, a winch, and much more. This model is just under 62 inches wide and has disc brakes on all four corners as well as double A-arms. It’s four wheel drive with a locking front diff so it should be able to go anywhere. The cargo bed can hold a respectable 350 pounds while still towing 1200. Lots of color options are available including white, black, blue, red, orange and camo.UTV Driver

2016 Hisun Sector 750: $8999

The 550 and 750 are fully loaded with doors, a folding windshield, roof and a 3500 pound winch already installed and wired up. All of the Sectors are powered by a single cylinder OHV four stroke engine. They all weigh in around 1363 pounds. Nice appointments like a digital display, front locking differential and a one year warranty make the Sectors worth looking at. A long 76.75-inch wheelbase and four wheel independent suspension should roll the 26-inch radial tires over the bumps as smooth as its competition.UTV Driver

2016 Honda Pioneer 500: $8499

The compact Pioneer 500 is easy to maneuver in tight conditions, and it fits into a full-size truck bed or a small storage shed. This fun and affordable 4WD vehicle does it all in style and comfort, with a similar look to the larger Pioneer models. It also has steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifting, 450-pound-capacity large rear carrier design, independent rear suspension and single-function door and net. 2016 Kymco UXV700: $8999

Kymco recently lowered the prices on all of their UTV’s. In the 700cc class there are 4 UXV’s to choose from. The Camo hunting models sells for $9399. A limited edition UXV goes for $9699 and the standard 700 has a price of $8999. The Turf model shown, has different tires and an unlocking rear differential with a retail price of $8999. All of them have similar specs with 7.5 inches of wheel travel through A-arms on all four corners and a 59 inch width.UTV Driver

2016 Kymco UXV500: $7999

The 500 starts under $8000 and has fuel injection supplying juice to a dual overhead cam 4-valve, single cylinder 4-stroke engine. The engine has a claimed 36 horsepower that can haul up to 1250lbs on a trailer and 450 lbs in the dumping bed. A camo, and turf model are also available in the 500 UXV.UTV Driver

2016 Kymco UXV450: $7999

This is one of the lowest cost Utility UTVs you can buy. However it still has nice appointments such as painted or camo dipped body work a 3000 lb winch and great storage. The 443cc engine can haul 440 pounds in the bed while towing 1200 out back. A locking differential up front is found on every UXV and an unlocking rear diff can be had on the turf model. All 450 models are 54 inches wide. The 450i’s ergonomic cab design with bench seat, tilt steering wheel offers both rider and passenger easy, fast access in and out of the vehicle.UTV Driver

2016 Polaris ACE: $7499

The smallest ACE is powered by 325cc, liquid cooled double overhead cam engine. It is easy to drive and compact enough to fit on the tightest trails that even a 50-inch wide UTV can’t go down. For suspension, Polaris used their tried and true and very stable MacPherson Stut front end and dual A-arms out back. Suspension travel is 8.2-inches and 9.5-inches respectively. Hydraulic disc brakes are found at both ends as well as 25-inch tires mounted on steel wheels. Indy Red or Sage Green are your color choices for the standard ACE.UTV Driver

2016 Polaris ACE 570SP: $9999

The 570 comes in standard and a $8999 SP version. The SP has electronic power steering, doors instead of nets and comes with an upgraded clutch with engine braking. MacPherson Struts up front with 8.2-inches of travel and dual A-arms in the rear with 9.5-inches of movement will soften the trail or let you pound the bumps if that’s what you’re into. The 48-inch wide, ACE 570 is a fun machine capable of taking you on great trails that a normal UTV won’t fit on. The standard model is available in White or Blue. The SP model comes in Polaris Pursuit Camo.UTV Driver

2016 Polaris Ranger ETX: $8799

The ETX, is the lowest cost Ranger you can buy. It has the same 325cc, dual overhead cam engine that made its debut in the original ACE. It has 31 horsepower which is enough for small work chores or trail riding with a light load. It shares the same chassis as the 570 model with 9-inches of travel up front and 10 out back. Cargo carrying limits are still high at 500 pounds in the bed and 1500lbs on a trailer. For small work duties and a little fun or uniting on the weekends this is the least expensive way to do it in a brand new Polaris UTV.UTV Driver

2016 Polaris Ranger 570 Full Size: $9999

The full size Ranger 570 has a large bench seat big enough for three people. Overall, the chassis comes in right at 60-inches. This model does not have EPS yet it can be added. Stamped steel wheels also help keep the price affordable. Four wheel disc brakes and 9-inches of travel up front with 10-inches in the back make this machine good on the trails when the work day is done. Speaking of work, this Ranger can carry 800 pounds in the bed and tow 1500 using the standard 2-inch receiver hitch. This Ranger comes in red or green.UTV Driver

2016 Polaris Ranger 570: $9999

The 570 engine was first introduced in a 50-inch wide RZR model. It now finds a home in Sportsman ATV’s, two ACE models, a full size Ranger and this two person model. This Ranger has an easy access bench seat, a cargo capacity of 500 pounds and a tow rating of 1500 through a 2” receiver. The machine is 58 inches wide so it can be hauled in the bad of a full sized truck. MacPherson Struts up front and dual A-arms in the rear will cushion the ride. This Ranger is available with or without EPS. The stretched, four seat version of this Ranger is only $10,799. and the camo model shown is $10,599. 2016 Club Cadet Volunteer-$9999

The Volunteer is ready to work using a 747cc V-Twin engine fully enclosed cab and 1400 towing capacity. The deluxe model comes with a fully enclosed cab and an eighteen inch deep aluminum dump bed. 40 attachments are available for the Base $9999 model or the deluxe $21999 Volunteer which is powered by a 31 HO Kohler V-Twin.
