UTV Destinations: Kipu Ranch Adventures, Kauai, Hawaii

On our recent excursion to Lihue, Hawaii, we hooked up with Kipu Adventure Tours to test their new Kawasaki Mule Adventure machine that was hand-built by Jimmy’s 4x4. Lihue, Hawaii has quickly become one of our favorite vacation destinations and the Kipu Ranch Adventure Tours should be on every avid off-road enthusiast's to-do list. This might sound like an advertisement, but once you go, you'll never want to leave. You'll get to ride through lush green pastures, venture down into tropical Hule'ia Valley, and ascend to majestic Haupu for a breathtaking view of Kipu Kai, Kauai's untouched paradise. You'll even find yourself riding around through many blockbuster movie spots such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Outbreak, and Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark. This is tropical 4×4 off road touring at its finest.

The 4x4 Jungle Waterfall Tour (2 hours) starts at $98 for adults and $44.50 for children. The Ultimate Ranch Tour (3 hours) starts at $135 per adult and $89 for children. The VIP Triple Trail Expedition (3 hours) explores all three Kipu trail systems and runs for $287 per driver, $187 per passenger and $125 for children. The Waterfall Picnic Tour (4 hours) is the longest tour that features to a short hike for lunch and two stops for swimming. It starts at $168 for adults and $89 for children.

Along with a wide range of tours available, KipuTours.com has a growing collection of Kawasaki UTVs in their fleet. Their Kawasaki Teryx4 fits 2-4 passengers and is available for each of their tours.
