UTV Garage: Polaris RZR XP 1000 Front Gearcase Fluid Change

You need to change your Polaris RZR XP 1000's front gearcase fluid every 25 hours of use. Check out these step-by-step instructions for replacing your Polaris RZR XP 1000's front gearcase fluid.

The Polaris RZR XP 1000 drain plug is found on the bottom of gearcase with an access hole in the metal frame skidplate. Polaris Demand Drive Fluid must be used, do not substitute here.

How To: Polaris RZR XP 1000 Demand Drive Unit ( Front Gearcase) Fluid Directions:
1. Remove the fill plug, place a drain pan under the drain plug and remove drain plug.
2. Allow the fluid to drain completely, Clean the drain plug, if o-ring is damaged, replace it.
3. Reinstall the drain plug, torque to specification (8-10 ft. lbs.)
4. Add the recommended “Polaris Demand Drive Fluid” to the bottom thread of fill plug hole.
5. Reinstall the fill plug, Torque to spec. (8-10 ft. lbs)
6. Check for leaks and discard of used fluid properly.
