Roofnest makes a range of tents for vehicles of all shapes and sizes, but its new Falcon 3 Evo improves on the company’s designs with better aerodynamics and more accessories. The next-gen rooftop tent took seven years of R&D to create, and the company says it is its most robust tent yet.
Roofnest says the Falcon 3 Evo and Falcon 3 Evo XL bring the aluminum construction of the Falcon 2 and Falcon Pro with the weatherproof and sturdier build quality of its Condor 2 tent. It’s shorter, lighter, and more spacious than the Falcon 2 but can still accommodate people up to 6 feet, 2 inches inside.
The slim design measures just 3 inches thick at the edges and 8 inches at its thickest. The convex shape improves rigidity while affording 21 percent more internal storage space than the closest competitor. That design allows for the storage of light bedding when the clamshell is closed, and Roofnest’s aero improvements should save a few miles per gallon on the road. Of course, no rooftop tent would be complete without a “widdle wadder.” The Falcon 3 Evo comes with a 7.5-foot telescoping ladder, though the new model is 20 pounds lighter than the Falcon 2.
Roofnest offers accessories with the tent, including a self-inflating air mattress, an insulation kit, a tent cover, and an awning system. Pricing for the line starts at $3,495 for the Falcon 3 Evo and $3,795 for the Falcon 3 Evo XL, and both are available for order on Roofnest’s site now.
