4WD 24/7 Builds a Jeep for USA Adventure

The crew at 4WD 24/7 have found themselves stateside, and while Shauno shipped his custom Land Cruiser, the Dirty 30, from Australia, he cooked up something special for Graham: a JK Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. We’re big fans of both the show and Jeeps around here, so we’re pretty excited to see the long-wheelbase Rubicon square off against some of the American West’s most notorious trails. This does mark a pretty big departure for the guys from Down Under, as they typically wheel properly kitted Toyota Land Cruisers of every generation, Nissan Patrols, or Isuzu Duramax pickups.

But we know full well how capable a Wrangler Rubicon can be. Until recently, two-thirds of the UTV Driver staff had a set of Jeep keys in their pockets, and all of us cut our teeth wheeling full-size rigs with seven slats on the nose. With lockers front and rear, electronic detachable sway bars, and plenty of articulation, the Rubicon still represents an off-road bargain. Shauno worked with some partners in the US to outfit Graham’s rig with all the necessary kit, including a small lift, proper tires, rock rails, a winch, and, of course, a fridge. We can’t wait to see the machine square off against its namesake, the Rubicon Trail. Check out the intro video below.
