Cardo Systems has made a big splash with its Edgephone ORV helmet-free communicators this year, and it is cashing in on their popularity by now offering the Edgephone ORV Duo. The Edgephone ORV Duo pack is exactly what it sounds like: two Cardo Edgephone ORVs, the associated communicators, and a neck tube for when you aren’t using the ‘phones.
The system allows two people to use Cardo’s excellent communicators without needing to wear a helmet or switch to handheld radios. With the Edgephones, you can pop the Cardo communicator off your helmet and into the Edgephones without dropping comms.
We have used the Edgephones for spotting while rock crawling at Windrock, and they work a treat. The Duo setup means you can have two connected spotters on different sections of the trail, or a spotter up ahead to warn your group when rigs are coming the opposite direction.
