Watch Daniel Ricciardo Chase a Helicopter in the Outback

Joined by off-road motorcycle racer Daniel Sanders, stunt pilot Matt Hall, off-road racer Toby Price, and Australian V8 Supercar driver Shane Van Gisbergen, Red Bull Racing reserve Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo took us for a lap around his home country this week. Sure, Formula 1 is a far, far cry from UTVs, but Danny Ric took the championship-winning 2011 Red Bull RB7 way off the beaten path for this clip. We didn’t think a Formula 1 car could handle dirt duty, but we were stoked to find out how wrong we were.

In true Red Bull Media House fashion, there are so many gratuitously epic freeze frames in this video that we don’t have space for them all in one post, so you’ll have to check out the video for yourself. But for us the highlights were playing chase with a helicopter and sneaking under a jumping rally raid motorcycle.

It’s ridiculous stuff, and it’s worth every minute to stop what you’re doing and take a look. Even if it is deliberately hokey.
