The four-stroke parallel-twin engine makes 61.5 lb.-ft. of torque and pairs with a continuously variable transmission. The UTV gets selectable 2WD and 4WD modes, along with a dual-mode locking rear differential. While we don’t have a horsepower number yet, the new Mule can haul up to 999 pounds in its bed (600 pounds in California), and can carry a payload capacity of 1,616 pounds. Towing lands at 2,000 pounds. There’s also a rear auto-leveling suspension feature to keep the rig stable with a heavy load.
Inside, riders get a multifunction display with a digital speedometer and other vehicle information. Kawasaki’s Ergo-Fit system lets riders adjust the seat and other fixtures for the most comfortable, safe positioning within the cabin. The Mule offers underseat storage bins and other interior cubbies, and the rear cargo bed is hydraulically assisted for easier unloading.
If you’re hoping to get behind the wheel of a new Mule Pro-FX 1000 HD, it’s on sale now. Prices start at $16,799 plus a $995 destination charge. We hope you like red, though, because it’s the only color Kawasaki offers for 2025.
