Kawasaki Teases the Nav Electric Cart Again Before Debut

‘Personal mobility vehicle’ has attitude and some wide, chunky tires.

Think you’re ready to “Nav the neighborhood”?Kawasaki/YouTube

Last week, a Kawasaki video showed residents of some fictional Florida-like locale craning their necks to see a new rig with some very fancy alloy golf-cart-looking wheels, a deep scarlet paint job, and a big ol’ Kawasaki badge upfront. We donned our Sherlock caps to deduce the hero car(t) would be “a stylized electric mobility cart aimed at those in gated private communities, with a couple of extra amenities thrown in.”

The rig is called the Nav, and we now know we were at least half right. In a new teaser, Kawasaki’s ad team went back to the same town to show off more of its new electric “personal mobility vehicle.” The four-bolt alloy rims are sporting some rather wide and rather chunky tires for an electric cart, while the suspension setup leaves enough ground clearance to drive over a stack of Titleist golf balls and a miniature poodle.

It seats four, and a badge on the fender reads “4E Limited,” a trim designation we don’t recognize from any other Kawi product. It’s clear this trim will be for the residents who want to hit the gated HOA paths with attitude, judging by the aggressive (for a cart) front bumper.

We’ll have a report on all the details once the Nav debuts today, and find out about those amenities too.
