Polaris has issued a recall of all 2021 Polaris RZR XP Turbos and 2021 Polaris RZR Turbo S’s to address a clutch that can break apart, which could cause fires, injuries, or wrecks. The recall affects about 27,300 units, some of which were subject to recalls in November 2020 and December 2021.

Polaris has so far gotten reports of 206 clutch failures, six of which resulted in fires, two of which resulted in injuries, and one of which resulted in a rollover. Polaris has issued an immediate stop-ride notice to affected owners. Owners of affected vehicles should contact their Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair.

The fix is to replace the rig’s primary clutch with an updated part.
