Polaris has issued a recall on all 2024 Ranger XD 1500s equipped with a winch sold between February 2023 and August 2024. Polaris has received one account of winch wiring overheating due to a faulty ground and causing a fire. If your Polaris Ranger XD 1500 has a factory-installed winch, bring it to your local Polaris dealer as soon as possible for inspection and repair. The recall also affects 4,500- and 6,000-pound accessory winches with serial numbers 2889275 and 2889276.

Until you are able to get your vehicle to the dealer, you should stop using the winch. If you’re unsure if your vehicle is affected by the recall, Polaris will be contacting registered owners to notify them of the recall. You can also go to polaris.com/en-us/off-road-recalls and enter your vehicle’s VIN to check if it has any recalls.
