The latest episode of Polaris’ Make it Yours series is titled, “Winter Essentials for Your Off-Road Vehicle,” and host Patrick Cron opens by saying, “We’re talking about how to use your UTV or ATV in cold weather.” If you want to take any of the included advice, you’re going to need a credit card with a lot of room on it.
That’s because this isn’t about prepping your rig for the winter elements, it’s about buying accessories to make the elements less of an issue. It starts with talking up the enclosed cab on the Xpedition, and continues by suggesting an Xpedition owner add a set of Polaris Prospector Pro 2.0 Tracks. Yes, they look awesome and they are awesome. However, Xpedition tracks cost $5,890, which doesn’t include the mounting hardware and high-rise intakes that cost another $1,000. And you’ll need to find them at a dealer, since the Polaris accessories online store is sold out until mid-January.
The Polaris Glacier Pro HD Plow System for your UTV or ATV is easier on the wallet at $1,825. Just make sure your rig has a winch or way to lift the plow, because that’s not part of the plow bundle.
