This is how you go desert racing. This 2024 Can-Am Maverick R is for sale on Race Dezert for way, way less than you would have to spend to build a desert racing outfit from scratch. The Maverick R itself is loaded down with PRP seats and harnesses, 33-inch System 3 wheels and tires, a Rugged Radios setup, and a helmet pumper and particle filter.

Even better, the rig is already SCORE tagged and legal, thanks in part to its race-ready roll cage and roof. It also has much stouter floors and skid plates to deal with the abuse of desert racing. It was campaigned in the 2024 Baja 500 by the Blowfish Tequila racing team. There’s not a ton of test time on the machine outside the Baja, as it only has about 650 miles on it, according to the ad.
