Segway Powersports is launching a new factory racing program that will see the company partner with three promising young racers and develop new technologies that could be applied to consumer-facing products.

The company said its new effort aims to provide a road map for young athletes to enter racing. It noted that it believes the program will benefit the industry overall by bringing new customers into the fold. Segway’s VP of sales and marketing, Jason Walling, said, “Segway Powersports has always been at the forefront of innovation, and with Segway Factory Racing, we are bringing that same spirit to the world of off-road racing. We are excited to inspire and empower a new generation of racers who share our passion for adventure and technological advancement.”

Segway Factory Racing’s first three drivers include Brooklyn Singleton, a six-year veteran racer in several classes, including 1,000cc women’s N/A, 800cc and under, and more. Kennedy Singleton has been racing since age 6 and competed in the Texas Outlaw Series, grabbing a first-place finish in her class. Wyatt Hastings is an 18-year-old driver with experience on several vehicles, including dirt bikes and quads.
