The RMAX gets turf mode and selectable EPS.

The 2025 Yamaha side-by-side and ATV lineup is here.Yamaha

Yamaha has just announced its 2025 side-by-side and ATV lineup. While updates are scarce, the Wolverine RMAX gets some much needed features like turf mode, and a new youth ATV was added to the quad lineup. For fans of the pure sport YXZ and the hard-working Viking, long-awaited updates are still nowhere to be found.

The 2025 Yamaha RMAX4 gets a completely redesigned backseat, featuring a longer wheelbase for increased rear passenger comfort.Yamaha

Yamaha’s pride-and-joy rec-ute, the Wolverine RMAX gets the most love for 2025. The RMAX finally gets a turf mode, which buyers have been asking for since the side-by-side debuted. Along with the unlocking rear-diff, Yamaha has added selectable EPS modes, a new center screen with Bluetooth compatibility, a rearview camera, and an all-new braking system.

Complaints that the former four-seat was too small and had little room for the rear passengers were addressed by releasing a new long-wheelbase model. The old four-seat RMAX model is now called the RMAX4 Compact, which tightly packs two rear seats behind the front passengers. A new traditional four-seat model with a longer wheelbase is also available. It’s called the RMAX4, and has a wheelbase that’s nearly 23 inches longer than the two-seat variant.

The 2025 Yamaha RMAX starts at $21,799.

The YXZ goes unchanged for 2025.Yamaha

Last year, Yamaha rolled out an overhaul for the YXZ’s transmission, improving low-speed transmission response. That was the first big update for the side-by-side since 2017, which sealed our suspicions that Yamaha wouldn’t be updating the YXZ for 2025. Turns out, we were right, and the YXZ goes without any major changes this year.

However, the Yamaha YXZ is still one of the only side-by-sides with a manual transmission. That alone makes it attractive in most buyers’ eyes. It’s also a fantastic deal, starting at only $20,899, which beats almost the entire sport side-by-side market.

The Viking is Yamaha’s pure-utility side-by-side.Yamaha

The Yamaha Viking was also left alone for 2025. The Viking is Yamaha’s staple utility side-by-side, offering space for up to six passengers, a 10-year belt warranty, a 1,500-pound towing capacity, and 600-pound cargo capacity. With no updates to speak of, the Viking starts at $15,799, the same as the 2024 model.

Most of the Yamaha ATV lineup receives revamped EPS systems, and an all-new youth ATV is available for younger riders.Yamaha

The Yamaha ATV lineup received some love this year, with the Grizzly and Kodiak 700 getting all-new EPS systems with available torque assist. The lineup still features Yamaha’s Ultramatic CVT with an industry-leading 10-year belt warranty.

Yamaha has also added the 2025 Grizzly 110 to its lineup, replacing the Grizzly 90. The all-new youth ATV is aimed at riders aged 10 and up, letting children hone their riding skills on a small and safe ATV. The Grizzly 110 starts at $3,599, and will be available in September.
