It’s official, we now have a marque event that UTV racers can call their own hopefully for years to come. The UTV World Championships is not necessarily a desert race or a short course set up, but it is all about the UTV classes. There were six total classes for full sized UTV’s in two separate races on one Saturday in Laughlin Nevada.

The vendor area during the event’s contingency parade is set up like a UTV trade show, so even if you’re not competing, chances are you will come home with some hardware. Speaking of prizes, the overall winners of the two separate events walked home with a 2016 Polaris RZR XPTurbo. Huge prizes were also handed out down the finishing order in every class. The Desert racers also fought for Best In The Desert points and a Pro Purse. That winner, Justin Lambert pocketed over $5,500 cash for three hours of seat time. With nearly 200 cars fighting for the two RZR Turbo prizes, we were curious how each brand was represented at the UTV World Championships. Here’s the rundown.
