New UTV trails are coming to East Tennessee, thanks to the owners of Anakeesta theme park.UTV Driver

The owners of Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s Anakeesta outdoor theme park are opening a UTV and mountain bike trail park this summer. The new 900-acre park will be called WildSide, and will open with 8 miles of UTV trails and 7 miles of MTB trails, according to Knox News.

Anakeesta opened in 2017, and WildSide will be a separate attraction. The park will have electric-assist mountain bikes for rental, and will have an option for guided UTV drives. The guided drives will be led by a park employee, but you have to bring your own rig.

The park is looking to open by July 4, and should be open year-round after that. There is no word on when or if the park will expand the trail network beyond the opening 8 miles of trail. Adding off-roading to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area will only bring more tourism to the area, which is famous for Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s hometown theme park.
